Parvez meaning
Parvez (پرویز) is a Muslim boy's name of Persian origin.
Victorious, fortunate, happy; also dear, excellent
Parvez (پرویز), also spelled Pervez or Parvaiz, is the Persian parvez. Steingass's dictionary defines it as victorious, fortunate or happy, and also as dear or excellent; among its other senses are splendour and the Pleiades, and the phrase parvez-i falak is a poetic name for the sun. The name is best known from Khusrau Parvez, the Sasanian king of Persia whose epithet it was, and whose love for Shirin became a favourite subject of Persian poetry. Name lists give Parvez as "victorious" or "fortunate", which matches the dictionary. It is used by Muslim families across India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.
