Sabira meaning
Sabira (صابرہ) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin.
Patient, enduring
Sabira (صابرہ) is the feminine of Arabic ṣābir, from ṣabr, patience or endurance. Lane's lexicon explains that of the several Arabic words for a patient person, ṣābir is the most general, meaning simply patient or enduring, while stronger forms such as ṣabūr mean very patient. Patience is a much-praised virtue in Islam, and the Quran says that God is with the ṣābirīn, those who are patient (2:153). Name lists give the meaning as "patient", which matches the dictionary. The masculine form is Sabir.
