Hassaan meaning
Hassaan (حسان) is a Muslim boy's name of Arabic origin (Urdu usage).
Very good, very handsome (an intensive form of ḥasan)
Also used to mean: beautiful
Hassaan (حسان) is an old Arabic name on the pattern of intensive adjectives, from the root ḥ-s-n, "to be good or beautiful". Lane's lexicon defines ḥasan as good, comely and pleasing, and gives the closely related ḥussān as "very goodly"; Lane does not list ḥassān itself, and some Arab grammarians derived it instead from ḥ-s-s, "to perceive". Name lists give "handsome" or "beautiful". The name is linked above all with Hassan ibn Thabit, the poet who defended the Prophet in verse. It is a separate name from Hasan, with a doubled s and a long a.
