Hashir meaning
Hashir (حاشر) is a Muslim boy's name of Arabic origin (Urdu usage).
One who gathers people together; al-Hashir, a title of the Prophet
Also used to mean: gatherer, one who assembles
Hashir (حاشر) is Arabic ḥāshir, from ḥashara, "to gather people together". Lane's lexicon explains the verb as gathering people and moving them on, and notes that yawm al-ḥashr, "the day of gathering", is the Day of Resurrection. He records that al-Ḥāshir, with the article, is a title of the Prophet Muhammad, because people are gathered after him; a well-known hadith lists it among the Prophet's names. Name lists give "gatherer" or "one who assembles", which matches. Hashir is used as a name for Muslim boys in India and Pakistan.
